Pilgrimages

What is a pilgrimage and what do you do?

About Maranatha Spring and Shrine
Maranatha Spring and Shrine is located in Lorain County, Ohio on over 80 acres and once was farmland. It is the home place of Our Lord and Our Lady's mission to bring to the world the Message of Holy and Divine Love. This mission is organized by Holy Love Ministries, a non-profit organization, and under the title of Missionary Servants of Holy Love.

Maranatha Spring and Shrine is a spiritual source of grace. All people from around the world are invited by Our Lady to visit and partake on a spiritual journey that leads to holiness. People from many states and countries, for example, Canada, Ireland, and Korea, have visited the shrine.

How Maranatha Spring and Shrine Came to Be
Our Lady led the ministry to this particular property, and has stated that The Lake of Tears and the Sorrowful Mother Shrine is one of Her most favorite places on earth. It was designed by heaven. The placement of each statue and every shrine was at Jesus' and Blessed Mother's requests.

What Maranatha Spring and Shrine Represents
Our Lady stated that the layout of the property, from the beginning of the property to the end, represents the soul's journey into holiness and the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Graces Received at Maranatha Spring and Shrine
Spiritual and Physical Healings
Many spiritual and physical healings have resulted in pilgrimages to Maranatha Spring and Shrine. Holy Love Ministries continues to receive written testimonials regarding these healings and conversions of heart. Some people have testified that they have received spiritual healings and have returned to God, now making Him the center of their lives, while others have testified to physical healings from arthritis, heart problems, and other ailments. Having been healed, they have changed their lives and are now walking on a spiritual path. Other people have been given the grace to endure their sufferings in life, which are to the benefit of all mankind -- all is in accordance to the Will of God.

Our Lady and Our Lord have explained that each person who visits Maranatha Spring and Shrine will not leave unaffected -- heaven knows and will give each pilgrim what he or she needs.

Illumination of Conscience
The great event to come, known as "The Illumination of Consciences", or "The Illumination", is a time when "every conscience will know his stance before God." Our Lady states that we do not need to wait for the hour of enlightenment. People who pilgrimage to Maranatha Spring and Shrine will receive the illumination:

Our Lady states:
"...My dear children... Come to My site of favor. Step onto the property. Taste of My Spring. Your consciences will be laid bare before you. All that impedes your journey of Holy Love will be shown you. This is a favor given with such force and strength at this site; it remains unprecedented elsewhere. You may travel and search for such a grace, but it is here, now." 7/10/98

Regarding the Illumination, Our Lord informs us:
"...the pilgrim can find everything he needs at this apparition site. Grace abounds here. The message is the only message he need hear, because it envelops every message. At the property or through the use of the water at the many sources there present, the pilgrim will receive the illumination of conscience. He may be physically healed or receive the grace to carry his cross." 5/3/01

Miraculous Spring Water
In December of 1995, Our Lady directed the visionary, Maureen, to the location of where to dig for the Spring. Filling empty bottles with spring water, it has been a source of grace that pilgrims take home with them and to share with others. The water has been a source of grace for spiritual and physical healings.

Miraculous Photos
Many people have seen miraculous images in the sky or evidence of miracles through camera pictures. These heavenly images, as Our Lady has explained, are significant to each person who captures him or her on film. In addition, they validate the prayer site and the messages.

Our Lady states, "Different images have different meaning to each individual. Therefore, each picture should be surrendered to prayer before conclusions are drawn." 11/12/97

Blessed Mother's Invitation
"I extend My invitation to all nations to come to this site and partake of the message of Holy Love. This message is all-embracing, all-encompassing. The prodigies of grace extended here are proof and the fruits of My coming to you. I desire processions come in prayer to the Spring Heaven has given."

Prayer to be recited by visiting pilgrims
"I am your Jesus, born Incarnate. Here, child, is a prayer I desire all who journey in pilgrimage to the prayer site, recite:"

"Dear Heavenly Mother, I know you have called me to this place of Your favor for Your purpose. As I step onto the property You have chosen as Your own, help me to realize that You are inviting me into a deeper personal conversion through the revelation of the United Hearts. Help me to begin this journey by stepping into Your Heart which is Holy Love."

"If You, Blessed Mother, look into my heart and see that I am unprepared or unwilling to take this first step, extend Your Hand filled with grace towards me and I will take it."

"Do not allow me, Your child, to pass up this opportunity through doubts or pride. If I came here only looking for error, take this spirit of arrogance away, dear Mother."

"I desire to be Yours in this present moment through Holy Love. Amen."

To Visiting Pilgrims
"I am your Jesus, born Incarnate. My messenger, do you see the little bee gathering pollen from the flowering tree outside? The bee is like many and all of the pilgrims who come to the prayer site. They gather what information and graces they can from the mission."

"Like the bee who returns to the hive to make honey, the pilgrims return home, hopefully to allow the message to bear fruit in their lives. The bee does not have to fly to any other source for pollen. That tree has enough blossoms to satisfy him over and over. So too, the pilgrim can find everything he needs at this apparition site."

"Grace abounds here. The message is the only message he need hear, because it envelops every message. At the property or through the use of the water at the many sources there present, the pilgrim will receive the illumination of conscience. He may be physically healed or receive the grace to carry his cross."

"Make this known." Jesus, 05/03/01

What is a pilgrimage and what do you do?
Pilgrimage - A journey to a sacred place undertaken as an act of religious devotion, either simply in order to venerate (honor) it, or to ask the fulfillment of some need or as an act of penance or thanksgiving, or a combination of these.

Our Lady: "Please understand, My children, that the layout of this property represents the soul's journey into holiness and our United Hearts.

1. The soul is first drawn into My Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart (represented at the Lake of Tears), where he is purged of many of his most flagrant faults.

2. Then he travels along guided by the angels -- as is represented on the property by the Lake of Angels. He receives many graces to move deeper into My Heart and into Divine Love, the Heart of My Son. This is represented by Maranatha Spring on the property.

3. Finally, in conformity to the Divine Will of God, he arrives at the Field of Victory, Our United Hearts and the Triumph. Understand that every triumph and victory is surrounded by the Way of the Cross.

4. And thus you have at the back of the property -- the Stations of the Cross.
