I am 56 years of age and I am the working mother of six grown children.
About five years ago I had a torn meniscus in my left knee. I had orthoscopic surgery which went bad. Within months it turned into Osteonecrosis (bone dying). I had procedures, such as bone stimulators, etc. and surgeries such as a partial knee replacement which then went into a full knee replacement. After I had the partial knee replacement and my doctor thought that the decay was taken out, my bone continued to crumble. My partial prothesis was just hanging. My bone continued to crumble. I then had the full knee replacement. Usually when the knee is replaced the Osteonecrosis stops, but mine did not. The Osteonecrosis turned into Avascularnecrosis. I was heavily sedated and was bedridden. I had suffered with excruciating pain for two years. My doctors were at their wits end not knowing what to do for me. We had exhausted all avenues. I mostly laid in bed. My husband would take me out in a wheel chair. He never complained. Even though I have had many terrible things happen to me in my lifetime, I have always focused on what blessings I have and they are many.
One day, when my husband was a car salesman, he sold a car to a wonderful couple. D.& J. were their names. They didn't even know me. D. gave my husband a package with many things in it such as a picture of Mary, Refuge of Holy Love, Rosaries, Holy Water and literature. I had tried various holy waters and I always prayed. I am someone who loves Jesus and His Blessed Mother very much. I have had many turmoils in my life, but always made it through them because of my love for God, His Mother and the Saints. I said the Rosary, and did the Consecration of the Family and put the Holy Water on my leg. Immediately, I felt a large pain and then nothing. I got up on my legs and walked to the bathroom. I couldn't believe it. There wasn't any excruciating pain. I told my husband when he came home. We made an appointment for each of my doctors that were treating me. They could not believe it when I walked across the room. Their eyes filled. We were all so happy. My one doctor agreed to send a letter to the Ministry attesting to the miracle. You have the letter. I was asked to come to Ohio to a pilgrimage and I felt self-conscious about bragging about what blessing I had received. It is not until now that I know that it is right for me to share my story. I will always be grateful and spread the word.
