“Understand, just as love of God and love of neighbor must always go together, humility and love must be together in the heart. If they are not present together, then false love and false humility are the result. The person cannot love genuinely in Holy Love if he is concerned about money, reputation, appearances or power, for these concerns stem from pride which is self-love. In the same way a person is not genuinely humble if he does not love his neighbor as himself or if he bears grudges or unforgiveness in his heart.”

“The enemy of Holy Love and Holy Humility is self-love.”
