“The whole basis of the reform I fought for in the Carmelite Order was to call my sisters back to Holy Love. They had become soft and lapse in this virtue, and so in every virtue. For I tell you this, the more the heart is enfolded in Holy Love, the more eager he is to practice every virtue. Holy Love in the heart makes him see the value of the test of virtue as a way to strengthen virtue, and thus show love for God and neighbor.”
