Maureen reports the following dream the previous night: “I saw the Blessed Mother all in white. She was bending over me saying, ‘Your country must proclaim a national day of prayer – a day of prayer and sacrifice.' I said, ‘Blessed Mother, I don't know how we would ever get the message out to everyone.' Our Lady said, ‘Where there is faith, there is a way.' ”

Later in the day, at the conference in New Mexico, during the recitation of the Rosary:

Jesus and Blessed Mother are here. Their hearts are exposed. Blessed Mother says: “Praise be Jesus. My Son, in His perfect Love and perfect Mercy, has allowed Me to speak today, to lead the world through these perilous times. The peace of the world was entrusted to Me at Fatima. Now today I have come to you to ask for this special day of prayer. The date I give you is May 31st. And I am asking that everyone in your nation know this day as a day of prayer and penance to bring peace to the world and all hearts.” The United Hearts Blessing is given.
